Did We Mention "Busy"??

Here she is again - our precious Eva. Here she is, just a week ago, fresh from bath-time, having so much fun with her pink mouth, she can barely keep her jammies on! In the full picture, (which we can't share), she's standing next to her friend, 'S' who also has his mouth wide open, so they must have been comparing teeth or something... :-)

She's a speedy multi-tasker who loves her toys and loves her friends. She's got her own world going on and a visitor says, stopped just quick to say 'hello' but then scooted on her way to continue more important activities. Could be premature, but I'm intuiting: "Busy" + those eyes + covered in pink stuff after bath time + another recent comment, "She's NOT shy" = a happy handful! And, apparently, she was having WAY too much fun with a bouncy ball while the visitor was there... If God trusts us to raise a busy little extravert, I'll eagerly trust Him for the spunk to do it! ;-)

Got all kinds of random questions answered too... Eva appears to be potty-trained, she does get some exposure to dogs at the nursery, all the kids are on a rice-veggie type of diet, the visitor says she's really just a 'peanut' size-wise - about 26 lbs. and just shy of 3 ft (we got current measurements). We also learned more about the rest of the adoption process, traveling, and confirmed the possibility of a November visit by a friend of ours... A GREAT meeting!

So this is it! We signed on the dotted line, folks... short of unforeseen issues overseas, Eva is our daughter, and we can dive into prep-mode now. For those of you praying for paperwork, God did a big shortcut there; our program coordinator brought our whole dossier with her tonight and we signed and she notarized all the forms. Presto - the whole thing will be done by Friday and can go out next week. Seems small, comparatively, but having this paperwork done is a huge encouragement to us and will allow us to move more whole-heartedly into prep stage... WHICH could possibly be shorter. BUT it could be longer too. We'll still hope for June and be happily surprised if it's sooner...

Updates will get more scarce again from here, but we'll keep you 'posted'. What color will Eva's room be? Not pink - I know that for sure; the rest will come. ;-)

Wow! God is so good! She looks like a little charmer, that is if we can catch her..:) Can't wait to meet her, but we have already claimed her as part of our family in our hearts. Just tonight I was telling Ed about Ana and was saying Eva. Grandma problem generation 2. It is a happy problem though. It means Eva is officially a part of our family where all names are interchanged, but all equally loved. What a wonderful day it has been. Amanda is giving birth in a days time and big news of our
Eva. Life doesn't get much better. Praise our precious Lord. Love to you our precious children.

Oooo I love talking about colors- How about bright Yellow and Orange? She is such a bright happy girl! Mikayla has her walls those colors- Pink just doesn't suit some girls, How exciting for you- I love reading your stories. I was adopted in only 7 days, I pray your wait will be short, Maybe a New Years Baby! L

Oh I am crying again! Yay God! You signed. She's yours. And she looks just amazing. (And thank You, Lord for the shortcut with the paperwork.) Judging from her weight, she might me about Elsa W's size. Can't wait to buy clothes for the little peanut. Or girly toys! I'm so glad you got more info. And I bet your heart just leaped (sp?) to receive another photo!
We pray for Eva almost every night. Emily often takes initiative all on her own to pray that Eva will come much sooner than expected. Come on, friends. Lets intercede for this--precious Eva turns 3 soon and needs to be with her Mama and Papa.
Love you guys!
P.S. I'm still up for painting...no qualms about orange either--what fun. :)

How wonderful!
I FINALLY found our nursery theme at Babycenter.com. They sell kids' stuff, too. I did NOT want cheerful bugs or friendly farm animals, which is tough to come by. It might be helpful to get ideas shopping online.
Good luck! : )

Yes, she is Greta's size! We checked, Greta weighs 24.5#, just a bit smaller than Eva. They can be two petite, busy friends! How fun to imagine.

Raising a extrovert is a blessing. We have one in our family. He reminds us of the importance of loving our friends (and seeing them often) and reaching out to our neighbors.

I vote for orange or yellow too. They are such good colors that express joy and life! Our girls room is orange and cream; a dreamsicle.
