How to Lure Spring

Mom always wisely said, "Don't wish your life away; enjoy each moment, day by day." On the other hand, spring is 'pokey' come March, and there's no shame in deceiving our sense of time a bit when necessary. Cancun is one such method...

Here are some other ways to encourage spring to pick up its pace:

10. Switch out your winter/summer wardrobe a little early this year.
9. Go swimsuit shopping.
8. Dye your hair blond.
7. Brag about your snowy winter in an email to a Florida relative.
6. Wear flip flops to work or church.
5. Exercise secretly until someone notices.
4. Run once around your house with just your slippers on. Dare ya.
3. Pack a picnic of Cadbury's Eggs to enjoy at your favorite park.
2. Keep fresh tulips on the kitchen table until April 15th.
1. Join Jen Crim in her annual 'peep'-fest.

What's your solution?

7: Done.
6: I'm on it.
5: Are you? I wish I was . . .
4: Done.

We grilled hamburgers and had corn on the cob and put them on picnic plates.

Oh, Naomi, you and Erin would have a blast on a peep fest...it's similar to TP-ing but way easier. Involves buying up Wal-Mart's leftover peeps after Easter, licking them all and sticking them to some lucky victim's windows. :) I was the lucky (I felt loved, actually) victim of one of Jen and Brandy Dopkins' peeping escapades a few years back. They used blue peeps, and we had blue goo frozen to our windows until the thaw! Fun Fun! I dare you! Pregnant mommies can still have fun. :)

Naomi - let's just say... if you ever find marshmallow 'peeps' candy that's been licked, then stuck to your house and/or vehicles, the culprit is obvious.

KJ - Oh, he runs around the inside of the house with just slippers on all the time. I meant the OUTSIDE! ;-)

Adam actually went tanning at the booth the other day, I know bad, but we only go a few time as to not fry when we go to Florida. Anyway...he wore shorts & a T-shirt up town. I thought he was nuts, but I did do #9, #8, & #5. I love this post. I might have to try #1 out too!

V, you're nuts! LOL

I saw a spider in my house yesterday-
A live Spider!
Spring must be coming soon or the spiders would not be waking up!
Bring on the bugs......

I've been really enjoying winter...so it's hard to me to want to lure spring.

pw - you must be enjoying winter so much because you're already doing #4 on a regular basis... ;-)

The sand of the entire Sahara have ended up in our garage. I'm letting the kids play with their beach toys in the middle of the garage, in their bathing suits.

V to be honest even your Mom is looking out the window a little longingly. I have my garden books out reading like crazy. It is helping! I also do find myself really looking forward to our trip to CA. Hope there isn't too much snow in the mountains of Tahoe. Ha!
